This is a really good looking development and it's the quality I wish every project downtown could have. I agree that the tetris thing was a bit of a miss though

Would have been nice if the commercial building had an extra storey or two of office or residential above to help the urban feel

This area could really turn out to be the 6 storey neighborhood a lot of people are hoping for

These ugly 6 storey buildings are being justified by "well Europe has some buildings like this, and people love to visit Europe", but nobody is going to Europe to visit the suburbs full of these buildings.

Seems to be a slightly inaccurate render, why aren't Westrich proud of their decision to swap out the black framed windows for white framed ones?

    That's a really nice design

This project has always been a funny one to me. People on this forum talk so much about how we need high standards for our city and we can't accept the deluge of low quality midrises, but then a developer puts up two big black stucco boxes and it gets praise

There's so few lots in this image left for new development!

When you say same as west of 218 street, do you mean the same developer or just the same type of housing? I'd love if it was the same developer because I think those Edison apartments are pretty nice

Looks like something is happening here in Rosenthal, does anyone have any info on it?

I really can't believe this design every time I look at it, it would be disappointing in Grande Prairie or Yellowknife, but in Edmonton it's just insulting

Not bad, but I don't know why so many of the projects in this city show big windows in renders and then get built with much smaller or windows. It's really frustrating and I don't even understand how its allowed. Reminds me of how Westrich decided to switch Lotus Park's windows to white frames...

Took a few photos today as well! It feels surprisingly big once you're actually up close
